The Premier League…

A deflected shot by Michael Carrick (in his PUMa PowerCat 1.10’s) helped Manchester United thump Portsmouth 5-0 to temporarily go top of the Premiership on Saturday.

Kevin Doyle scored the only goal for his team but couldn’t help Wolves to unluckily lose to in-form Birmingham City 2-1.

Kenwyne Jones scored for Sunderland in their 1-1 draw with Wigan.

Nicolas Anelka helped Chelsea beat Arsenal 2-0 at Stamford Bridge to put his side top of the Premiership.

PUMA team Spurs drew 0-0 with Aston Villa and are currently 5th in the Premiership.

The Championship…

PUMA teams Bristol City and Coventry City drew 1-1. Bristol currently sit 11th in the league, while Coventry are 15th.

Reading beat Doncaster 2-1 away from home, helped by a Shane Long opener and currently sit 22nd in The Championship.

Peter Lovenkrands helped newly-signed Newcastle United beat PUMA team Cardiff City 5-1 with two goals. Cardiff are 4th in the league. David Wheater scored for Newcastle’s North-East rivals Middlesbrough in their 1-1 draw with Ipswich.

Rugby Union…
RBS 6 Nations…

The 6 nations kicked off with a solid performance from PUMA’s latest rugby signing, Grand Slam holders Ireland. The Irish ended up having a comfortable 29-11 win over an Italy side in the Six Nations opener at Croke Park.

The Irish tries both came from PUMA players Jamie Heaslip and Tomas O'Leary.

A stronger looking England side beat Wales 30-17 at Twickenham helped by several PUMA players including Nick Easter and Matthew Tait, who wears the PUMA V-Konstrukt III Rugby Boots.

LV=Cup…

On Saturday Bruce Reihana made his 200th appearance for Northampton Saints in their 23-11 LV=Cup quarter final victory versus Leicester Tigers.

A solid Bath Rugby team welcomed back Butch James by scoring 6 tries (3 scored by Michael Stephenson) to help beat Sale Sharks 40-7 at The Rec.

Castleford Tigers beat Leeds Rhinos 24-10 away from home to start off the season well, while St. Helens lost at home to the Leeds Rhino's
