Football
2010 FIFA World Cup
The World Cup Finals in South Africa began last Friday with PUMA having great on-field presence with the ‘Tricks’ colourway football boot in both Power (PowerCat 1.10 PUMA Football Boots) and Speed (Puma V1.10 Football Boots).
PUMA have 7 teams featuring in the World Cup wearing their football shirts: Italy, Uruguay, Algeria, Ghana, Cameroon, Ivory Coast, and Switzerland.
PUMA star players Gianluigi Buffon (Italy), Samuel Eto’o (Cameroon), John Mensah (Ghana) and Emmanuel Eboue (Ivory Coast) are all on show at this year’s tournament.
So far 3 PUMA teams have played with Uruguay holding France to a 0-0 draw in Group A, Algeria narrowly losing to Slovenia 1-0 in Group C, however, Ghana became the first African team in these Finals to win thanks to a 79th minute penalty against Serbia to give them a 1-0 win in group D. Cameroon take on Japan in Group E at 3pm today, while defending World Cup holders Italy are in action tonight at 7.30pm against Paraguay in Group F. Ivory Coast take on Portugal tomorrow afternoon at 3pm, and Switzerland take on Spain on Wednesday at 3pm.

Europe
PUMA sponsored Turkish team Bursaspor have won the Turkcell Super League Cup. Bursaspor are only the second team ever to come from outside of Istanbul to win the trophy. After a fantastic performance in the league and for winning the cup, Bursaspor have qualified to play in the Champions League next season.

Craig Kieswetter has been named as England's wicketkeeper-batsman for the one-day internationals against Australia and the match against Scotland.

Australia’s James O’Connor was in magnificent form at the weekend. The talented young player scored 1 penalty and 3 conversions in Australia’s 27-17 win against England.
Shontayne Hape, Simon Shaw and Nick Easter all started for England down under. Ireland lost to New Zealand 66-28, however Tommy Bowe and Gordon D’Arcy managed to get on the score sheet for the Irish. The Irish have also called up the Under-20 captain Rhys Ruddock to the senior team for their final two tests.

Canadian Grand Prix
Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso finished 3rd in the Canadian Grand Prix at the weekend, with Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber finishing 4th and 5th respectively.
