Preston sign new kit deal with Genesis Sports
PUMA® and Genesis Sports today announced a three year deal that sees the leading sportslifestyle brand become the official supplier and the official licensee of replica merchandise for Preston North End FC.
Derek Shaw, Club Chairman commented: "We are delighted to be entering into a partnership with
PUMA. Like ourselves, they have a proud heritage in the game of football and a strong internationally
renowned brand and this is the sort of partnership we want for this football club as we look to further
enhance our own brand and reputation. We have extended our relationship with Enterprise until the
end of the 2010/2011 season as well and we think that PUMA are the perfect partner to show off the
great support that Enterprise give the Club through their sponsorship deal."
The contract will see PUMA supply the club with their Technical and Replica Kit and Trainingwear for the next three seasons. them. I've already seen the home and away kits for next season and I know the fans will love them,
as I already do, and I look forward to seeing the terraces packed with people in the new kits at the
start of next season. This Club has a great history and I think the new kit reflects that history as well
as looking exciting and new ready for the challenges ahead and for building this Club, growing to
where we all want to be."
Preston North End’s rich history can be traced back to 1863 but at that time it was linked to cricket. The first football match took place there in 1878. One of Preston’s most famous and loved players, Sir Tom Finney, played 76 games for England sharing friendly rivalry with the great Stanley Matthews.
