Surface Guide

Soft ground boots (SG) are designed for use on soft natural grass surfaces and use traditional studs instead of blades. These studs can be replaced should they get damaged.

Firm ground boots (FG) have moulded blades which can be used on firm natural grass surfaces that are too hard for traditional studs to penetrate. These are normally a summer boot for when the ground is at its hardest.

Hard ground (HG) boots are for very hard surfaces. These boots have a multiple stud configuration utilising low profile rubber studs which are very close together with an outer configuration of longer studs. These Hard ground boots are also suitable for Astro surfaces, but check with whoever owns the facilities – some won’t let you wear studded boots on their artificial surfaces.

Technical Trainers (TT) are designed specifically for Astro surfaces where a Hard Ground boot is not allowed. It  has a low profile moulded sole for extra grip, but wont damage the pitch like studs may do.
